This policy explains what personal data RegVerdict processes, why, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Draft — the company name, registered address and ICO registration are finalised before RegVerdict begins taking payment. Bracketed fields below are completed at that point.
RegVerdict is operated by [Company name] Ltd (company number [Companies House number]), registered office [registered office address]. We are the data controller for the personal data described here and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration [ICO registration number]). You can reach us at [email protected].
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as an independent controller of your card data under its own privacy policy. We receive only a payment confirmation and reference, never your card number.
We share data only with the suppliers needed to run the service:
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
We keep purchase and report records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal/accounting requirements (generally six years for transaction records). Security logs are kept for a short period. We do not build long-term profiles of the vehicles or people you look up.
Some suppliers (for example Stripe) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
We use only strictly necessary cookies — see our cookie policy.
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Questions go to [email protected].
